Restoring Childhood. Growing Hope.

who we are

InJoy began with a personal journey.

In October 2023, our founder, Talisa McCarty, traveled to Uganda and visited a children’s home called Born Like Others (BLO). What she witnessed there was both heartbreaking and deeply inspiring.

Many of the children had experienced profound hardship, yet their joy, resilience, and hope were unmistakable.

Talisa returned home with a conviction that something had to be done. What started as a simple desire to help quickly became a growing movement of people who wanted to stand with these children and invest in their future.

Since February 2024, InJoy has helped provide school fees and support for more than 70 children, helping them gain access to education, stability, and opportunity.

What began as one visit has grown into a mission to build long-term pathways of hope for children who deserve a chance to thrive.

Our Story

InJoy exists to restore childhood for vulnerable children in Uganda by providing education, basic needs, and long-term opportunities to thrive.

We believe every child carries seeds of potential within them. With the right care, encouragement, and opportunity, those seeds can grow into a life filled with purpose, dignity, and hope.

Through partnerships with children’s homes, schools, and local leaders, InJoy works to ensure that children who have experienced poverty, loss, or instability are given the support they need to grow into their future.

Our mission is simple: to help children not only survive, but truly flourish.
